Wood 'N' Barnes Publishing and Distribution, Inc. began its journey in publishing, December of 1993. The focus for the creation of this press was in response to needs and trends identified by our parent company, Jean Barnes Books. As many small presses disappeared and the store was no longer able to obtain many of the unique, focused titles it had once carried, the decision was made and a new press born.

In those years, we have experienced a wonderful increase in sales and an acceptance by our peers, and fellow booksellers.

On average, we produce five new books, audios/videos each year. Our focus coincides with that of Jean Barnes Books, with the majority of our titles being based in behavioral treatment, experiential education and foster/adoptive care, with the remainder of our titles dealing with a hint of philosophy and spirituality. (The latter subjects are produced through our subsidiaries, This Moo-ving World and Pre-Production Press.)
